Vintage mustard pots are so popular for a reason. They have so many storage uses around the house, and mix in with other vintage or modern pottery pieces beautifully. I use mine for art supplies, at my sink to store my bamboo wash brushes, as a simple vase and to store my pens and pencils in the office.
Materials: Stoneware pottery
Measurements: 12cm x 10cm
Condition: Gorgeous vintage condition, in a lovely oatmeal/stone colour. Features the famous LAB Lagny embossed label and original cork lid.
History: Circa 1940s. The LAB Lagny mustard pots were made by LAB. LAGNY POTTERY in France and known as a "Moutarde de Meaux Pommery Crock".
It was in the year 1760 that a superior of the ancient religious order of Meaux transmitted the secret recipe of their marvelous specialty "Moutarde des Chanoines" or the "Abbots Mustard" to the Pommery Family. This mustard has been served at the table of the kings of France since 1632. The Pommery family has carefully guarded the secret of this recipe. The mustard is made of natural products only, which lend to its exquisite flavor and subtle aroma.
