This heavy metal flower frog has brass pins and was made by STAYPUT Australia in Melbourne.

Around the world, they are also known as flower blocks, flower bricks, flower holders, and floral arrangers, as well as their original Japanese name, "kenzans".

Circa: 1950s

Usage: Invented in Japan over 100 years ago for use in the art of flower arrangement, they can be used in vases to support flowers (the spikes, by piercing the sealed cut stems of most flowers (like roses) starts a capillary action allowing the flowers to draw water, thereby extending their life in the vase). or use to display your favourite vintage photos, place cards, price tags ... so many uses!!
